Like birds? Join us and Northern Virginia Bird Alliance for a leisurely, inclusive birding outing on Saturday October 25th from 9:30 am - 11 am at Mason Neck State Park in celebration of Birdability Week 2025! This event is designed for birders of all experience levels, with a special focus on creating an accessible and welcoming experience for individuals with disabilities or health concerns.

Spotting scopes, monoscopes, binoculars, and chairs will be available for use.

Accessible restrooms, parking, and seating will be available.

Birdability, a national nonprofit, promotes inclusion and accessibility in birding for everyone. During Birdability Week, celebrated October 20–26, birders across the country come together to highlight accessible birding spaces and share the joy of nature with all.

Participation Cost: Free

Vehicle Entrance Cost: $10 (waved for vehicles displaying accessible placards)

NVBA staff will reimburse fee at check-in

To sign up, please complete the following 4 steps:

  1. If you haven’t done so already, please complete the membership form and Become a Member.

  2. Please complete the activity form below to sign up with Pursuit.

3. If this is your first event of the calendar year, please review and sign the Liability Waiver and Media Release Form.

4. Register with Norther Virginia Bird Alliance at their Eventbrite Registration Page.
