Robin Hood, Katniss Everdeen, and Hawkeye are fictional archers with real world skills. Will you take up the bow and try your hand at the sport of archery? Join us at our inaugural adaptive archery event with Virginia State Parks Let's Go Adventures at Mason Neck State Park in Lorton, VA. The Let's Go Adventure staff will show you the basics of archery including finding your draw length, proper safety and shooting techniques, and more. All equipment is provided.
Let's Go Adventures will provides the following adaptive equipment:
-Caliper Release- moves draw weight from fingers to wrist
-Genesis Bow w/ In-Line Draw Lock- alleviates draw requirement
-Bow Stand- supports the weight of the bow. Can be used with a wheelchair.
Friends and family are welcome to attend, however, please note: this program is geared to participants 10 years old and up.
Participation Cost: Free
Parking Cost: $10 for day pass. Free for holders of disability permits.
Annual or Daily Parking Pass for Virginia State Parks is required.
